Experience to build better Fraternities and Sororities

Joining a fraternity or sorority is a lifelong commitment. It’s a brother- and sisterhood that sticks with you wherever you go during college, and stays with you even after the days of college. Unfortunately, this is one commitment that many members seem to forget.

David Stollman has been an active volunteer of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, since 1995 but now spends his time as an advisor for the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority at New York University. Along with advising, David is co-founder of CAMPUSPEAK and Recruitment Boot Camp, and is a nationally known Fraternity and Sorority Life speaker. With over 17 years of Fraternity and Sorority Life experience, David knows a thing or two about how to not only make these organizations work, but how to make them thrive.

“I truly believe that Greek Life can change a person’s life for the better. Thank you so much David for the speech and I can say without hesitation that our Greek community will be better for it,” said Kathleen Gilbert, Coastal Carolina University, member of Sigma Sigma Sigma.

Some members just don’t get it—which can inhibit good leaders and chapters from succeeding. In his keynote, Buy In or Get Out, David confronts students in his funny, interactive and moving style. Those that care about the core values of Fraternity and Sorority Life—friendship, service, leadership and scholarship—will be inspired to make needed and necessary changes within their organizations. Some of the not-so-fun things that leaders need to say to their members can be difficult. David has no problem saying the things that you wish you could. If it’s for the betterment of your organization, David has it covered.

“His speaking style, being brutally honest but funny at the same time, really allowed people to laugh at themselves but also to take a closer look at why they were really a part of a Greek organization,” stated Liz Malugen, Colgate University.

Imagine how much more your organizations could accomplish if troubling members were part of the solution instead of part of the problem. David has gathered information on a wide range of major issues facing today’s members—which he now challenges members to start tackling, and to embrace the best and get rid of the rest.

“David really spent quality time with the student leaders to pin point the issues that are concerning our community here. Students really enjoyed how he spoke the truth,” stated Jack Pence, Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi.
