General Internship Information

CAMPUSPEAK offers half-year internships. This is a perfect opportunity for graduates looking for a meaningful way to spend the time between graduation and the start of graduate school (or for ambitious people who’ve always wanted to live in Colorado!). Undergraduates are also welcome to apply if they are willing to work the entire six-month internship period.

Internships take place at the CAMPUSPEAK office in Aurora, Colorado, less than 20 minutes from downtown Denver and a short drive to Colorado’s ski resorts. Interns work 30-hour weeks alongside our staff members and receive a $250 weekly stipend, plus housing in a furnished townhouse less than a mile from the office. We provide several professional development experiences for our interns including time management and career development coaching.

Interns are considered independent contractors and therefore are responsible for their own tax withholdings. Interns must provide their own food, vehicle, health and auto insurances, mobile phones, and other miscellaneous living expenses. They also share the cost of utilities at the townhouse. Many interns elect to get additional employment to supplement their finances while interning with our company, and we encourage this.

An internship with CAMPUSPEAK is an ideal opportunity for students seeking careers in higher education, sales, public relations, business, or marketing. It’s also a great chance to learn what it takes to run a small, entrepreneurial company.

We look for candidates with a proven student leadership history who have great writing and communication skills. You have to be a self-starter – able to manage multiple tasks and delve into projects without a ton of management and guidance. If you are friendly, outgoing, a problem-solver and a self-starter, this might be a great experience for you.
