Honoring the CAMPUSPEAK speakers of 10 or more years
The members of CAMPUSPEAK would like to honor the speakers who have been with the agency for ten or more years. Their dedication to higher education and the improvement of campus communities helps make our company what it is today—with their help, we can all be apart of positive change.
A big thanks to MITCH CRANE, Dr. LORI HART, DAVID HELLSTROM, MARK STERNER, Dr. MARI ANN CALLAIS, RICK BARNES, ELAINE PENN, MICHAEL POLL, DAVID STOLLMAN and T.J. SULLIVAN— we appreciate the 10 or more years of dedication to CAMPUSPEAK and your constant work to improve the lives of students and their campus communities.
The life of a speaker is filled with early flights, random hotel rooms and a diet of fast food Ô so what makes these speakers give up the typical 9 to 5 job for a life of inconsistency?
“Strangely enough, those things don’t bother me too much. But the best part is the students…the feeling you get when they really are excited about having you on campus, the interactions and the connection. Being a female, when any female student says she wants to be ‘me’ when she grows up…that brings a nice smile to my face because I certainly remember the women that inspired me in college,” stated Dr. Lori Hart.
While the students change every year on campus, some problems continue to come up. Mark Sterner, a DUI speaker, has been sharing his story for over 12 years. For Mark, “making a connection with an audience and knowing that by sharing my story, I am helping them make a better decision than my friends and I made,” is the reason he continues to speak.
Rick Barnes’ inspiration comes from the students and being able to make a difference in their lives, as well.
“I have believed in CAMPUSPEAK from the beginning—what it stands for, its goals and purpose, and I love being associated with some fabulous friends, colleagues and peers,” states Rick.
CAMPUSPEAK is lucky to have such dedicated, inspiring and truly amazing speakers who continue to do great things on college campuses nationwide. We’re excited to continue to see the development and progress of our speakers!
