Frequently Asked Questions
What approach will the facilitators use to relay the Intake Equation message to students?
We use a very open, honest and intensive approach. Our curriculum is very straightforward and it engages student from the very first minute of the program!
If my institution has both an NPHC council and a Multicultural Greek Council, is it necessary to have two different sessions for each audience?
No, not at all! Our curriculum is designed to engage culturally based groups that conduct intake rather than more formal recruitment processes. The program is designed with those two groups in mind.
What should be done from an institutional level to prepare for this program?
Students should be made clear of the time commitment of the program and the expectation should be made that they participate in its entirety. Funding should be secured and it should be related to the students that the financial commitment is an investment in the longevity of their chapter.
When is the ideal time to have such a program like the Intake Equation?
This program is most ideal prior to membership intake for example like a beginning or mid year retreat. However the program can be done anytime of the year!
Is there a recommended follow up to this program such as a conference or conversation?
Administrators should engage in follow up conversations with participants, as well as maintaining an awareness of their plans of action. Some groups may need assistance speaking with advisors or other chapter members. The best follow up is constant support and holding the groups accountable!
How many facilitators should I expect to conduct the IE program?
Depending on the size of your group, one or two facilitators may be utilized.
Can I request a certain facilitator for this program?
All of our facilitators are highly trained. If you have a specific request, we can always try to accommodate your wishes, but are subject to the availability of our facilitators.
