Darryl Bellamy

What would you be able to accomplish in your life if you weren’t afraid? Darryl Bellamy gives students the knowledge and techniques they need to identify and overcome some of their biggest fears.

Darryl has read and shared thousands of student fears on campuses all over the country. He realized that these fears were the reasons why students often hold back from growing to their full potential.

Fearless Leadership – Reframing Your Fears to Lead & Live Out-Front

What are the top fears preventing your students from either stepping up to lead or leading effectively once they get in a leadership position? Stepping up to lead is hard, and leading can be even harder! In this keynote, students are able to identify their top fears that are preventing them from reaching their full leadership potential. Audiences will also learn about the top fears of other student leaders and techniques that they can use to reframe their fears. Students leave more connected with their fellow student leaders and more empowered to take risks to leave a positive legacy on their campus.

  • how to implement the “CSA Framework” (Confidence, Story, Action) to reframe fear,
  • how to identify and write their fears through The Fearless Walk Activity,
  • how to reframe their everyday setbacks into assets as they step up and lead, and
  • how to visualize past moments of gratitude in a powerful concluding exercise.

Fearless First Year – Reframing Your Fear to Succeed in College

New people, new place, possible first run at real freedom? The Fearless First-Year keynote encourages first-year students to join other students who are ready to reframe their fears, step up and lead on day one of their college experience. After reading thousands of fears from first-year audiences, a pattern emerged; many students lack confidence, and it overpowers their beliefs that they can accomplish what they want. Because of this, many students never attempt to reach their goals and dreams in the first place. With this keynote, students will have the opportunity to feel more connected with their peers by realizing they’re not alone. They will leave the presentation with the techniques to help them create a fearless foundation that will set them up for success.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this program, students will learn:

  • the importance of creating a fearless foundation and why it matters for their future success,
  • why failure should be chased and not avoided,
  • how to implement the “CSA” Framework (Confidence, Story, Action) to reframe fear,
  • how to push past self-doubt to lead and grow on campus, and
  • typical freshmen pitfalls and actionable ways to avoid them.

Fearless Greek – Reframing Your Fear to Reframe Your Chapter & Life

What if I step up and fail? Will I be accepted if I take this stance? Am I good enough to lead my chapter or council?

These are just a few of the fears keeping your fraternity & sorority life leaders up at night. The Fearless Greek keynote comforts students by showing them that they’re not the only ones with these inner thoughts. By exploring and addressing the community’s written fears through “The Fearless Walk” activity, while learning a three-step formula to reframing their fears, this program inspires fraternity & sorority life leaders to step-up and push through fear in their chapter and their everyday lives, while connecting the community.

As a brother of Kappa Alpha Psi, a leader in his chapter during undergrad, and a current Chapter Advisor, Darryl uses his experiences to help share and promote a fearless Greek community. He challenges leaders to challenge the process, overcome judgment, and lead fearlessly!

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this program, students will learn:

  • how their organizational values encourage a positive, fearless outlook,
  • how their fraternity & sorority life community has more in common regarding their fears than differences,
  • how to implement the “CSA” framework (Confidence, Story, Action) to reframe fear,
  • how to conquer fear to make positive changes within their organization, and
  • how to visualize past moments of gratitude in a powerful concluding exercise.
