Thanks for sharing your powerful story; you offer so much insight on how to live mindfully. You offer a tremendous public service -- not only about the perils of drinking and driving, and not wearing seat belts, and being reckless behind the wheel, but about personal responsibility. We are indebted to you for taking an unspeakable tragedy and finding a way to use your pain to help others make good choices. My students and I were so moved.

My name is, Olivia Bradford. I am a sophomore at Huntsville High and you spoke with us recently. I think your story is incredible. I hope I am able to one day be a great influence like you. I don't plan to drink at all. I do have my own problems in life though and I hope to be an inspiration to others just like you are to me.

Mark I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. Your story impacted me and my sisters a great deal. I will make sure that my sisters know that they can call me if they ever need a ride. Thanks again.

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to come to our school and share your story. My heart went out to you as you explained the grief you have to live with. It bought tears to my eyes as the gravity of your situation fell upon me. I am touched by what you shared and it is something I won't soon forget. Thank you so much again for opening my eyes and making me think twice about my decisions.

[Mark Sterner], I attended your seminar for the second year in a row and as always, it was unbelievable. I know that you were kept on this earth for a reason because God knows how effective you are in getting through to college students. You are an inspirational survivor of SO much and I, along with the millions of people you speak to, appreciate you more than you could ever know. Thank you so much, Mark.

Just wanted to thank you for sharing your story with us tonight. It really made an impact and made everyone open their eyes to the reality of what comes with drinking. The part when you mentioned the phone call and our families, that is what really touched me and because I too am the youngest. I wanted to thank you after but instead felt this was still ok. Honestly, thank you for sharing your story and please continue to do so.

I left you 5 minutes ago and had to run back and write you a quick "thank you." Words could never truly express how grateful I am for the courage it takes for you to do what you do. While this is now the third year that I have brought you back and the 5th presentation -- your willingness to open up to our students and the honesty you offer are remarkable. I promise to work on bringing you here when it's warm. All the best and the safest of travels!

Mark, I grew up a blue collar kid in Philly that made it to college and is lucky when considering actions and consequences. Last night I took two of my older children to hear your story at Trinity U. After speaking with both of them the message was delivered loud and clear. Hopefully, they will act to change or prevent tragedy. Speaking to over 2 million kids.....you are now saving lives!

I just left from hearing you speak, I want to thank you for coming and sharing your story. It was extremely influential and I feel that it made an impact on everyone in the room. Thank you for being strong enough to relive your story in order to save many others.

Dear Mark, I am senior athlete and I have never had a drink. I made a decision my first night of college that I wouldn't take a beer and never looked back. I am also the one that any of my friends are able to call if they are ever in any sort of problem and I am always trying to look out for them at parties to make sure that nothing stupid happens. Mark your lecture gave me just one more reason why I don't want to drink.
