Making Greek Great

There was a time when people were beating down the doors to be Greek. Greek life offered the ultimate campus experience. Gradually though, joining a fraternity or sorority became just another campus option. How can we make Greek life GREAT? In this empowering keynote, Lori Hart Ebert challenges Greeks to raise their own expectations of Greek Life, to recruit the best students on campus, and to become the role models of leadership they were intended to be. This is the perfect Greek Week, Greek Life convocation or new member orientation program.

Lori really connects with today's college students.  She is very knowledgeable on current trends and can incorporate campus "traditions" into her program so that the students can begin to think outside of the box. Lori did an excellent job preparing her presentation just for our campus.  She listened to our needs and incorporated them into the program seamlessly.

A Few Too Many...
Our Campus Culture of Alcohol

Results of recent studies have found that high-risk drinking is among the most dramatic problems facing college campuses. Students spend more on alcohol than they do on books. Fraternity and sorority members drink more than their non-Greek peers. So, now, what do we do with this information? This workshop focuses on the culture of alcohol, providing activities that get students talking and feeling empowered to do something about high-risk drinking on their campus.

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About the Opposite Sex

Why do men say they will call, and then don't? Why do women go to the bathroom in pairs? Why do women talk nasty about other women, even their best friends? This workshop is about gender communication, stereotypes and how we can overcome the challenges to healthy relationships. This is a laughter-filled workshop with serious messages about self-esteem.

Lori was amazing and everyone came out of it learning something new and took a new perspective on the opposite sex.

About Lori Ebert

Dr. Lori Hart Ebert has an undergraduate degree in Education from Auburn University, a master’s degree in Education from the University of Montevallo, and a doctorate degree in Higher Education from Georgia State University.

Dr. Ebert resides in Atlanta, Georgia and currently serves as a speaker for CAMPUSPEAK, Inc. and as the Director of Alcohol Education for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, coordinating the fraternity’s alcohol education initiatives.

On a volunteer level, Lori has served as the Southern Vice President for the Association of Fraternity Advisors, Chairman of Education and Training Committee for Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, Chairman for the NIC’s Alcohol/Recruitment Report and a mentor, Senior Leader and keynote speaker at the National Conference on Ethics in America at United States Military Academy at West Point.  Currently she serves on the National Panhellenic Conference delegation for AOII and is a member of the Peer Review Panel for Oracle: The Research Journal for the Association of Fraternity Advisors. 

In 2007, the readers of Campus Activities Magazine awarded Lori Ebert “Female Performer of the Year” and “Speaker of the Year” for her contributions as an on-campus speaker in areas including relationships, alcohol, and Greek life.
