The Power of Personal DECISIONS

Andrea Mosby-Jones offers a warm, funny, motivational program that reminds students the importance of thoughtful decisions in their lives. College students are faced with tough choices on a regular basis. Should I use alcohol and drugs? Should I skip class today? What should I pursue as my major? Who should I live with next year? With so many options today, students need to learn the confidence to make good decisions that will lead them on a path to success. They need to seek options that are in alignment with their values and goals.

Using the acronym DECISIONS, Andrea walks students through the factors they must consider when making important personal choices. From having determination to taking control of their lives - students will see how to lead themselves and their organizations to a successful place.

Andrea's funny, challenging and interactive style invites audience members to dream big things. Students will walk away from the program with a new sense of security when making the tough decisions that will inevitably come before them.

This is the perfect FEEL GOOD keynote for your next leadership event.

"Andrea is a great and powerful speaker.  You can really relate to her, and she gets you to think about yourself and what you are doing with your life.  She is a great motivator -- very prepared and interactive."

3C-Squared:
The Multiplying Effect of Leadership

Change is inevitable, but accepting it isn't.

Andrea Mosby-Jones' “3C-squared” model introduces students to the multiplying effect of leadership!  By exploring the three C's; change, cost, and control, she helps students understand themselves and their own challenges as emerging leaders.  In “3C-squared,” Andrea asks students to define their commitment to change and growth, and to think of the costs beyond “money.”  Andrea relates cost to the concept of character, and the role of compromise in developing true leadership characteristics.  She uses her own experiences and stories to relate these concepts to her audience.

Finally, Andrea addresses the power of control by beginning with one's own self-control.  She shows that realistically, we can only control ourselves.  Andrea encourages students to evaluate how much self control they exert and how much commitment students make to themselves.  In a world of instant gratification, delaying that gratification can be what helps fulfill goals and ultimately leadership.  Andrea's strong, humorous, and engaging speaking style works well for large leadership keynotes, as well as more intimate retreat environments.

From Friendship To Foreplay
Navigating the Minefield of the First Year in College

The college years are just beginning, but there is a tremendous amount of pressure to get the very most out of the 48 months ahead.  You want to make responsible choices, but you also want to make friends, find a place where you belong, and put yourself on a path to success in your professional life.  To be sure, there will be a ton of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that make college so special, but you also realize that it’s not going to be so easy every step of the way.

In her program, “From Friendship to Foreplay,” Andrea Mosby hits many of the issues that create anxiety in first year students.  How can they find the friends that will be with them for a lifetime?  How can they be social, without being so social that they get into trouble?  How can they find the balance of fun and success during college?

Andrea acknowledges that students have been saturated with information about the physical ramifications of drugs, alcohol and sex, but they haven’t heard enough positive messages about the emotional, spiritual, social and intellectual impact of their relationships.  In a society that emphasizes what we are lacking, students need to hear the vital strategies that will help them form not only healthy and happy relationships with others, but also a healthy relationship with themselves.  Knowing and respecting oneself is the first step in being capable of understanding and appreciating others in the campus community.

This program is a perfect “healthy emotional living” message for today’s incoming college students.  By helping them recognize the healthy opportunities college brings, and by helping them approach those opportunities from a place of personal strength, Andrea Mosby motivates students to make the most of this special time of life.
